... it is about 15 minutes away from the train stop called "Schloss Hagenau" on the route Neumarkt - Braunau via Schloss Bogenhofen (Bogenhofen castle).
With its towers, the castle still looks like it looked in the 16th century. There are 2 round towers at the south side and there are 2 square towers at the northern side. Facing the courtyard, there were arcades, which are walled up now. Behind the castle there is a park. In the park there is gothic church which was consecrated in the year 1515.
This romantic castle in a lake is definitely worth visiting!
