Červená Lhota ("Red" Lhota) is one of the best known water chateaus in the Czech Republic. It is located in a small village of the same name about 12 km west of Jindřichův Hradec.
A former Gothic water fortress from the 14th century was replaced with a Renaissance mansion between the years 1542–1555. In the 17th century the chateau was rebuilt in the Baroque style and again in the Neo-Gothic and the Neo-Renaissance styles in the end of the 19th century. The name "Červená" ("red" in English) dates back to the 17th century and it refers the chateau's red roof and walls.
