The imposing Aigle Castle sits in the middle of vineyards, a fortress built in the 12th century by Savoy and reworked by the Bernese starting at the end of the 15th century.
Since 1976, it has been the prestigious setting for the collections of the Vine and Wine Museum, which preserves the heritage of the wine growers and the cultural traditions of wine.
Facing the castle, the Maison de la Dîme, dating from 1587, houses the Label museum that recounts 200 years of wine label history and displays the astounding iconographic diversity of labels from all over the world.
